It all started at Burning Man in 2007. I love to dance and I wanted to create a small and intimate dance space, one which encouraged people to get up close and interact with each other. My robot would be a silly way to help people relax and be comfortable, and put a smile on their faces. It was all about spreading joy and happiness.

Eventually I decided it was time for the robot to enter the real world, so I started taking it to San Francisco and discovered that there were people there that enjoyed dancing with me as well! Dolores Park quickly became my favorite spot.
As the years went on I became more or more well known in Dolores Park. They started calling me the Dolores Park Robot.
My favorite thing about being the robot is inspiring people of all ages to dance!
The robot also became a regular at the https://makerfaire.com/ for many years as well.
It’s been a long and exciting journey for the robot. And it’s far from over!
About Robot
I’m just a guy in a robot costume that plays music! I started out 15 years ago dancing in parks entertaining people for fun and then people started asking me to perform at birthday parties, wedding receptions, company parties, all kinds of events. I get hired by both individuals and companies. A typical gig is just dancing for about two hours and playing music, sometimes people dance with me or sometimes they just want me to provide the music and ambiance for the event.
